Josh Robbins, Managing Partner
Josh Robbins is the managing partner of Geckotech, a Voice-over-IP
(VoIP) service provider based in Chicago. He brings over 10 years
experience in technology consulting, management and business development,
working with a diverse set of clients in the technology, financial,
advertising and telecom sectors. Mr. Robbins is responsible for
the day-to-day operations as well as business development and partner
relations. Prior to founding Geckotech in 2003, Mr. Robbins owned
and operated Gecko Websystems, a website design, hosting and development
firm. Mr. Robbins' career includes consulting positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers,
Lante Corporation and Nortel Networks. Mr. Robbins also served as
a forensic consultant in computer related court cases and is a published
author of 3 technology books. Mr. Robbins earned a B.A. in Economics
from the University of California at Los Angeles. Mr. Robbins is
a member of the President's Advisory Committee in Chicago and serves
on the School of Computer Studies Advisory Board at Robert Morris
College in Chicago.
J. Michael Drew, Partner
J. Michael Drew is a partner in Geckotech and a principal in Structured
Development, LLC, a real estate development firm, and has been engaged
in the real estate development and construction management business
for 27 years. Mr. Drew matriculated at the University of Illinois
where he studied Business Administration and Architecture. Mr. Drew
has extensive experience in all phases of construction work, especially
scheduling of labor forces and subcontractors and comparative purchasing
and scheduling of material and equipment. Mr. Drew's professional
affiliations include being a member of the New City YMCA Board of
Directors and serving as an advisor of the City of Chicago Loft
Oversight Committee.
Daniel Lukas, Partner
Daniel A. Lukas is a partner in Geckotech and a principal in Structured
Development, LLC, a real estate development firm. Mr. Lukas was
previously Of-Counsel with the law firm of Seyfarth Shaw where
he handled a broad range of real estate, tax, financing and corporate
matters. He has represented and counseled numerous real estate
clients, including The Drew Companies, Inc., Hospitality Properties
Trust, Health and Retirement Property Trust, Wyndham Hotels and
affiliated entities, Trammel Crow L.P., Starwood Lodging, DoDi
Property Trust (Dominick's), Westfield Homes, Carrol Homes, Rubloff
and ORIX. Mr. Lukas has 16 years of experience representing real
estate development companies in such areas as organization and
structure, finance, tax, acquisition, zoning, land use and planning.
Mr. Lukas has an LLM. (Taxation) from New York University School
of Law, a JD (with honors) from Washburn University, and a BA
from Purdue University.
